Paintings: SALLIE COCHRAN
Sallie’s great strength as an artist lies in her drawing ability, zestful use of color, and wide range of subjects that interest her. Aside from the popularity of her work, her staying power can be explained by her disciplined, businesslike approach and careful attention to delivering commissions on time.
Her career as a professional artist began in the 1970s after college in Boston. She tasted ad agency work and knew she wanted to be in New York City. Norcross Greeting Cards on Madison Avenue was the perfect platform for her to grow as an artist while learning the business as a junior executive.
A published author, Sallie is a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She’s also a member of Americans for the Arts.
